First of all, if you’re dating someone, you shouldn’t not have to spend time, energy, and money to ask you’re girlfriend/boyfriend out to prom, if you already know you’re going with them. The worst part is, most people do it just to fit in and look cool. It kills me how it’s became a trend.
I was forced to ask this female out to prom, that I don’t even like. This really pissed me off and I regret it badly. I hate how there’s all this pressure into some BS that’s so meaningless. All this time, money, stress, and energy just to stand around. I’m extremely disappointed in myself for making a poster for some girl that I don’t even like. and allowing myself to be bitched into doing this. Thinking about this makes me wanna bulldoze a building. If I get my hands on that poster I gave her I’m gonna rip it into as many pieces as I can. I literally did something stupid asking her out with a poster, and a plastic flower, there was no way I was going to get her a real flower, that would’ve killed me. People congratulating me made me even more angry. Having to pretend I wasn’t mad made me even more furious. Having to smile in a picture next to her made me feel like blowing something up.
The point is, I don’t understand why people do so extra things for small rewards. I personally hate prom now, with a passion because of how much people been bothering me about it, and because of all the stress and energy that comes with just standing around.

I find that most people (including myself) are shallow to some point or another. Some more than others. I personally hate when girls say the phrase "Looks don't really matter, I just want a nice guy" or some variation of that. When I hear that, I not sure whether to believe them or not.

When you go on dating sites, it seems like if you don't look attractive enough to a person (whether you are a guy or girl) you will have little to no luck when it comes to getting a date (or even a response) even though you and the person you like have a lot of things in common.

There is a YouTuber called Connor Murphy. In my opinion he has very cringe worthy videos. (Watch one if you haven't already). I use to see some of his videos (I no longer watch them) and it honestly makes me want to give up on finding "true love " or "the one". Especially in my generation/age range.

I am curious on other people's take on this so feel free to share your opinion.
