Search Results: getting physical in a relationship

My biases: I have never cheated on anyone. I have had a wife cheat on me. I consider cheating to be the worst thing you could ever do to a partner without inflicting physical injury or death.

If you want to have sex with a multitude of partners, I would not condone your decision but that is not my business. Go out and screw half the women in the county; I don't care! But why would you complicate your life by getting married, living with someone, or telling someone that you are exclusive if you want to have frequent and casual sexual encounters?

I have contemplated this question over the years - especially when it happened to me - and it occurred to me that perhaps cheaters are unhappy in a relationship, they don't really know why they are unhappy, they convince themselves that they are unhappy because of their spouse/partner, so they go searching for someone who will make them happy. If you are depressed, I don't think that problem gets solved by having the right person in your life, but. . . many of us look for happiness in all the wrong places.

Have you ever cheated? If so, did you do so because you were unhappy? Did you find someone else who made you happy? Did you stop cheating when you found the right person?

This is kind of one of those awkward questions because you know in all honesty most people wouldn't consider it because of the extra baggage that comes along with that kind of relationship. Regardless I like throwing these kind of questions out there just to see different opinions. I myself have been injured for about 12 years. My injury is in my neck so I'm paralyzed from the upper chest down. I have about 50% use of my arms but 0% use of my fingers so I'm pretty close to a full-blown vegetable. I've not really thought about seeking out a relationship but it has been on my mind whether people would really want that kind of emotional and physical burden. I know burden probably isn't the right word and probably sounds really jaded but it is what it is.
