Search Results: casual or serious dating

the reason I ask this is cuz I noticed on most of the online dating sites that anyone I run across that I actually find attractive who has an ideal situation meaning no kids at home and plenty of time for the relationship usually have seeking: "casual dating nothing serious" on their profile but when I narrow the search to those seeking: "long-term" or "looking for marriage" they are usually either severely overweight or they're single mothers with a house full of kids. what gives? are the only ones looking for serious relationships the ones that have built-in impediments to being in a relationship?

A lot of people think their above this but several things go through people mind when looking at a person subconsciously and consciously:


1. Racial stereotype of their race starts running through your head in making decision about them. For example - Many women on dating sites and in real life are against dating black men/women due to heavy media portrayal of them as low class in society and unsuitable for partners. This is not to say they won't hookup or have casual fun but they won't consider them serious for relationship if they have that in mind.

2. Expectation of success. Again relates back in racial stereotype. Many people look at a person's race to determine how intelligent they are and where they will make it in life. How your face looks also heavily plays into this.

3. Overall how good looking/ugly they are. You've all been program from birth till now to look at good looking people as good people and ugly looking people as bad people.

4. Projection of a person's personality base on their physical appearance. Basically creating expectations base on ones physical appearance.

5. You are more incline to be rumors that are bad of a person if they are ugly over rumors of a person if they are good looking.

I ask this because when on dating sites I noticed any woman that I actually find attractive and would be interested in meeting when you get to the part of the profile or it states what they're looking for they always seem to pick "casual dating nothing serious" but when I blocked out all the people that do that response and search only for "looking for long-term" or "seeking marriage" it's profile after profile of overweight women or women who have multiple small children. but let a woman be child-free in at least semi attractive hell from what I've seen they all want to just cereal date. both women who are young and haven't had kids yet or attractive older women whose kids are leaving the house. and I'd like to know from you ladies is there something similar going on on your end of it? do you find the men that you actually want to be in a relationship with don't want relationships? and the men who do want relationships are they what you view as Undateable?
