It seems to me that these days men in general aren't allowed to have standards. and if a man dares to admit that he dislikes a certain trait in a potential partner many people start accusing him of all sorts of things, basically if a guy wants a girl that is not a slut he is called weak, insecure and with no character, if a guy wants a girl who is a good mother and can cook and clean he is deemed an asshole or too shitty of a boyfriend, if a guy doesn't want a girl who has plenty of guy friends he's called insecure and should just shut up and deal with it cause a girl is not going to change anything to make the guy she wants to marry happy, and the list goes on...

But what about women standards? they haven't changed much really, tall, good looking, good job, money, fun and interesting personality and being wanted by other females, which is why players get all the chicks, ( lets be realisitic here, they have sex a lot... with women, so saying that their games dont work on women is dumb and ignorant at best ) .

When it comes to breaking up with a girl it's hard for me, but it's easy when it's done or she breaks up with me. I understand the situation so it's like ok whatever nothing I can do now sorta thing. that in mind, there was a girl I was friends with benefits recently. Started with no feelies but over time she got them for me tho she one that was worried I'd get them for her. thing is at school (jr) she got a bad reputation and herself isn't someone I'd be with. time goes on she starts wanting me to act like we're exclusively not dating, doing things couples would do, cuddle, hold hands, text a lot, sweet talk, etc... even here and there she'd be like I don't want to do thing anymore you'll catch feelies blah blah and I was like no I won't smd blah blah. I got tired after the 50th time. surprised her and said yeah I don't want to do things with her anymore blah blah. she's obvious about feelies for me still but I'm not sad about ending things with her or in general. I'm known as a nice guy too and I am, but I gave up on serious relationships and just want my dick sucked or have sex no strings ya know. is that a bad trait to be havin?

I don't know why most girls don't like a guy who is kind, caring, and respectful. I know girls like a challenge but seriously why do you need a challenge? Pick up a rubix cube or math puzzle if you want a challenge. And the stereotype that nice guys are push-overs, same can be said about a girl and yet us guys will still date you. Are there any girls out there who like respectful guys with nice traits? And should a guy change his persona to get a girl?

P. s... Yes I'm aware these kind of questions are asked frequently but this is my first time asking a question like this because it really has me thinking.

I will be honest with you, If someone hurts me regardless of looks iam not gonna be nice, but most of the time if a girl is truly hot and i find her irresistibly attractive iam more like to ignore some of her bad traits, such as not having a great style, not being very smart, studying something kinda useless at college, having interests that are immature and basically not having everything i want in a girl , i do have standards though and some things (including being btchy is not something i am willing to tolerate ) .

And i assume based on how people act that its the same for almost everyone, i see women with men who have no job or are criminals, bad husband material but girls still go for them, as for guys some dont seem to mind a girl with 20+ guys in her history, really naive/stupid or with an attitude.

So be honest, if you like how someone looks are you more likely to overlook that persons bad qualities?
