A few days ago, he caught me off guard by putting me under some heavy eye contact/scrutiny for about 60 seconds. Talking with someone they imply he was trying to figure out my feelings for him but as I was shocked, I just mumbled something.

My idea is this. Ask him for some help & when he makes a quip about the task being simple – as he has before – respond that sometimes I’m simple too like when someone guard me off guard last week.

I have a guy friend that I’ve known since 2010. We were intimate briefly in 2016 before he moved away.. we’ve stayed friends for the most part. One thing I’ve tried to avoid is mentioning if I spend time with someone.. he’s had issues with other guys being nice to me in the past.. specifically if it was someone he knew. I was set up with someone by a friend and the guy ended up treating me horribly. When I spoke with my fmr intimate friend.. I told him thank you for always being someone I feel safe around and can trust. I didn’t say anything to him about the set up treating me bad to illicit jealousy.. was reaching out to a friend and saying thank you for always treating me with respect and being someone I can trust and feel safe around. We’ve been friends longer then any of the intimacy.. I’m just curious how guys take being told by a girl that they trust them and feel safe with them.. I’m grateful the friendship he and I’ve had has largely held together since 2010.. when he recently called me princess the other day.. that did catch me off guard when I thought he was joking when he’d said that and when I said you’re my loyal advisor.. he replied with.. I thought you were gonna say I was your king.. opinions helpful.. just curious how it makes you guys feel to hear from a girl that you’re not related to.. that they trust you and feel safe with you..
