You used to really enjoy being with him but then he started being passive aggressive avoiding you etc and also worrying you’re avoiding him, being clingy etc when you got busy and couldn’t see him as much.

When I was younger, I never watched the news and neither did my parents. My parents did their best to protect my sister and I from all of that. As a result, when I was older and started watching the news, it made me massively anxious and constantly put me in a state of fear. I remember one particular news story "Deadly Halloween candy." It turned out to be "Deadly" to people allergic to peanuts, because the label didn't explicitly say "Peanuts." But, knowing that would attract a smaller crowd, the tagline was simply "Deadly Halloween candy."

Nowadays, the news seems to have gotten worse and far more aggressive. When I tune into CNN, I'm tuning into it for the news. When I tune into NBC, I'm tuning into it for the shows but I end up being bombarded by taglines and previews of what's coming up later that night. Even the previews are often graphic, depicting real life violence.

Aside from that, the news has a long history of presenting studies in a misleading way and invading people's space in order to get a good story. But what bothers me even more is the graphic violence- depictions of real world events- the news decides to show viewers. It steadfastly refuses to refrain from naming mass shooters. It constantly displays footage of horrible, violent events happening in real time.

I don't want to see Trump shut down the media, but it's hard to have much sympathy for organizations that have consistently manipulated and sensationalized stories for views and money. If NBC news, ABC news, CBS news, Fox news failed, I'm not sure America wouldn't be better off for it. And Trump wouldn't get nearly so much free publicity.
