I know this sounds insane, but on the shitty asscrack of the internet that is Twitter, there seems to be an ever growing hostility towards anime and Japan in general.

To the point where some people actually believe people who watch anime are worst then terrorists.

And the giga brained logic behind this mindset is that anime very frequently features boys and girls that are in their teens or younger (or at the very least look the part, yeah it's the 500 year old vampire loli meme)

And said boys and girls are sometimes put in very questionable situations so by watching and enjoying such content that must make you a pedo.

Meanwhile despite the mass rape, exploitation, forced conscription and murder of their own people, all al Qaeda is doing is defending their home from oppressive occupiers (he says sarcastically)

So yeah apparently if your an anime fan, your worse then an authoritarian terrorists group.
