This is what I feel... By the 2 or 3 year mark of a relationship.. you should be engaged if it's serious. I refuse to be those girls in a relationship that wait 4-10 years to FINALLY be engaged. It's pointless and ridiculous.
I just want a guy to fall in love with me and be like: "man, this girl is amazing. I need to marry her." Is that a fantasy? Yes, too good to be true.

My current boyfriend: We are a couple of months away from being 3 years. He says he really loves me and that I'm the one for him. We are each others first. This is the first relationship for both of us to where it's serious. For the past year I've been hoping and praying that he would ask me to marry him... He told me the reason he hasn't proposed is because he's not ready. Okay I can understand that... BUT I remember he told me in the beginning of the year that he doesn't want us to get engaged until we hit the 7th year mark. Hell no. I will not be one of those girls. I just want a very serious relationship to where it will lead to marriage because I'm giving up on it. I know people will say marriage is a piece of paper or that I'm too young (23 to be exact) but marriage means something to me. As for the age, I don't give a shit. So please share your opinions and shed some light here...

And I do mean SO, like girl/boyfriend or fiancé. You aren't married yet, but your partner whom you've just gotten to know and became official with, isn't ready for sex. Maybe it's for religious reasons or they only want to have sex with someone they're in love with or what have you, but not because they want to torture you or be controlling. How long would you wait for them to be ready? And yes, they are willing to do sexual acts, but not intercourse (anal, oral, vaginal, etc.) This is assuming you have true feelings for this person, potential long term/marriage material, and aren't just dating to be dating. And this is also assuming you have NEVER slept with this person before.
