So me and this girl met in the beginning of the year, we work together and things have been pretty cool. Recently things have warmed up between us and have been getting flirtatious, even other coworkers have caught on. I even overheard her talking to another female coworker about me (I’m pretty muscular). She’ll always ask me if I’m coming in the next day or when is she going to see me next.
One particular time I went to sit and talk with her after my shift (we’ve been doing that recently) and I heard her on video chat with someone else talking about maybe seeing them on the weekend. But then quickly dismissed them and hung up when I said yeah I think I’m gonna head out.
She said “When’s the next time I’ll see you?”
I just said hmm probably next week, I’ll catch you later and left.
This is what made me start to question things.
The next week I came in and I was intentionally being distant. One day, me, her and a few coworkers were sitting together so I brought up the idea of relationships. Just to investigate. During the conversation she claimed that she was single.
So I thought maybe I’ve just been overthinking things from the week prior.
Later I spoke with her alone and I told her that I feel me and her have a good connection and maybe we should go out sometime.
She told me that she wanted to be honest with me and that she actually had been dating someone for the past two months. She said she wants to be fair and give him a chance. But she also mentioned that it’s been hard to find someone who wants to commit.
I had no problem with it and I said it’s cool and I wouldn’t mind keeping things where they are at.
But now that a few weeks passed after that I’ve been friendly but also distant. Yet she’s been even more flirtatious with me, compliments about how I look, how I smell, including physical touching like rubbing my back or my leg. Getting even more personal with the conversation. Getting lunch together at work?
Some of this has me confused on her intentions.

So I've been living with my partner for about 7 months now. I separated from my ex-wife about 18 months ago and with the separation I lost my job, and with the pandemic I lost the job I got after that. Having been married a long time and having moved around the country I don't really have any friends. My partner has a good social life and a great job. As lockdown has been coming to an end and life returning to normal her behaviour has been changing a lot and it's been making me anxious and insecure which is probably making things worse. Our relationship began with her looking at me with big eyes, texting and sexting a lot, complimenting me all the time, wanting to have lots of sex and being adventurous.

During the lockdown, I started my own business and it's keeping me afloat but not a good living, she's gone back to work and I sit in the house largely passing time cleaning and exercising. We go out with her friends and I get on with them but then when she goes out without me I have nothing to do myself. She's doesn't compliment me anymore, sometimes ignores my messages especially the flirty kind, doesn't seem interested in sex at all anymore and has this look that screams not into doing anything adventurous when it's suggested. I feel like she now sees me as a loser, but on the flip side she wants to go on holiday with me and her family in a couple of weeks but I feel like it might be to keep up appearances for them. The more I try to talk to her the more she moves away from me and then I worry more and more.

When we met I had a job before the lockdown took it, I was also dating multiple people which she knew, I guess I looked attractive and confident then and I don't now, I feel like her dog sat around waiting for her to come home.
