I have a box full of memories of my ex, should I give them back, more details in the additional notes?

Anonymous
My ex and I broke up a bit more than 3 years ago. I am currently in a relationship with another guy and have been together for almost 2 years.
My ex was toxic, actually, his family was so I do not regret breaking up with him and am so happy with my boyfriend nowadays.

However, I have recently come across a memory box me and my ex had when we were together. I am now 22 years old and was with my ex from the age of 14 to 18 so we shared a lot of memories. In the box, there wasn't just our memories but also some of his memories and some of mine. I actually threw our memories away as I thought it is for the best even for myself. However, I could not throw away what belonged to him. Some of the stuff where:
- His graduation invitation ceremony from high school
- detailed information of one of the mos important operations he had
- some birthday cards he received over the years
- student cards from his college

As I know how my ex was, he used to love keeping stuff and put it in a box. Stuff that had meaning to him. Should I give them back? It has been 3 years now and I don't even think he remembers them but for some reason, I don't feel comfortable throwing away someone else's memories. Any kind of opinion would be greatly appreciated.
