Should I send our memory pictures/videos to my ex?

I'm torn between wanting to reconnect and worrying it might be a bad idea. Has anyone been in a similar situation, and what advice do you have?

If you genuinely want to try again then reach out but whether or not I would advise if depends on many things.

How did the relationship end? Was it toxic? Did someone cheat? How long ago was it? Where are you both in life now compared to then? Do you feel a sense it’s meant to be or is it just reminiscing? Are you both single? Have you genuinely allowed yourself to grieve over the loss of the relationship?

So many questions. I think a huge mistake many people make is trying to jump back in where you left off. It’s not Mario World you can’t just turn it off for 10 years and all the sudden fire it back up to remember old times and it’s just like you left it. Oh no….. People change. Situations change. You change. He charges.

You will need to start over again. It may work out it may nor. He may say no. But if you’re single and he is and it’s in your heart. You can reach out. If he says no…. You have closure and aren’t wasting tour time on it anymore.

It’s like really people go into relationships thinking let’s say they broke up for 10 years. They think they can pick up where they left off. They expect one another to be the same person they were 10 years ago.

For me the past is the past. There is a big world out there. . and everyday. We need to grow and experience new things learn new things meet new people

There's like different levels of life different experiences to get to where we're going

If you go back to the past and if it doesn't work out you have all that ketchup to do to find yourself again something you've already been through.

And you really wouldn't be helping him by doing that because . He would be going back in time and doing the same thing.

I mean if you're both interested in each other and start brand new start fresh you broke up for a reason and that reason was probably painful.

Sometimes it's more of a convenience than actual true love and that just never works out

If you wanna "reconnect" put a feeler out in a text message. But sending photos/videos is creepy and maybe even manipulative. I mean. If he seems open to the idea of talking to you and it's back and forth you could maybe suggest hey do you remember xxx... I still have the pic. Wanna see?

Just be guided by how much he seems open to it. You will feel 100 times more heartbroken if you send it and get a negative or zero response.

And if - after a text or two - it's apparent he doesn't want to reconnect its time to grieve and close that door for good. Maybe get rid of those "treasured" memories or put them away somewhere to not look at until your feelings are less sensitive.

Yes my first big ex girlfriend! So in love so badly wanted to reconnect till I found some on leagues better.

My advice take your feelings and write by hand in pen or pencil all your desires feeling and want for him. All you wanna connect how you feel then and how you miss him

Write like 8 or 10 pages and pause take that letter don't go back through fixing it. Put it in an envelope and burn it! Let your feelings go. Destroy it

Still feel more do another one. Release your feeling mourn your ex and you will feel better. Don't reconnect and send pics till you can't bear it and then send them if he gets a new girlfriend lol.

Bad idea, best left in the past though maybe if there were photos taken at a specific place he liked though never had certain angles / photography you should send it to him as a keepsake thing & act of kindness.
Don’t send pics with you and him, just the places I guess…. Best to leave it in the past though you can still be nice, just not friends / partners since he clearly wants to move on.

The best advice for exes is to just do nothing. If they want to come to you for sex, fine. If they want to come to you for a date, fine. You can decide each thing as it is offered to you. But if you do something, they read 100 times into it what it actually means, and it's trouble.
