Scenario:
He had everything and the woman met him when he was poor, still dated him. They both built each other up and she helped him with his business using most of her old savings.
Years later, they have kids (2 teenaged boys) but he decides to cheat just because he felt he missed out, wanted to know what it was like being with another woman, etc. He cheated and these were the consequences:
- Wife files for divorce, has copies of the evidence (he pleaded to work it out but she's not forgiving at all) and demands her money back
- His kids no longer respect him as a man and don't speak to him much
- He got exposed and everyone in the family knows why they're divorcing
- Overall he's about to lose big time

This was the case tha if he didn't cheated, none of this would've happened. He would still be married and his kids proud of him. Still guys would you have sympathy for him?

27F, my mom lives down the road and my dad is out of state. They’re divorced, I find my dad to be the most annoying person on the planet. I see my mom every weekend, I have friends around my age who also say that they’d be annoyed if they were in contact with their parents too often. This applies if you don’t live with your parents, I live alone. I don’t have an issue when my mom FaceTimes me everyday but my dad is so effing annoying. We used to argue when I was younger because I felt like he used to take his anger out on me but things have changed & we haven’t fought in years. I get frustrated at the fact that everyone pussyfoots around him & sympathizes with the fact that his family doesn’t care about him & “he doesn’t have anyone”. My moms family is just as toxic but she has a partner & my half brothers, my dad has friends and chooses to be single. I sometimes wonder if I was married with kids, if he would be in contact with me as often. I don’t have patience & it’s not my fault his family is a POS, I need to live my own life. And please, spare the “treasure it, you’ll miss it once he’s gone”. If you are referring to one of your parents that passed, I know you were probably annoyed if they contacted you this often when they were alive. And sometimes the reasons he calls, his questions and stupid things he says makes me wonder why a phone call is even necessary. Just reply to the text, it’s like he just looks for a reason. I’m going to be thirty and shouldn’t be in contact with my family this often, it feels like I haven’t grown up.

TL;DR: Would being in contact with your parents this often and being independent bother you?

27F, I just feel like I had it harder than others. I haven’t been sexually or physically abused but I had my share of emotional abuse. I was bullied as a kid up to in HS, I was raised by my grandmother who is very petty/fits the “mean girl” description in the sense that she has a big mouth, gossiped about her kids/grandkids with her other kids/grandkids and is a bit of a narcissist. I never really had friends growing up and to go this far in life still without those close friendships and never had a long term relationship under my belt is just so odd. I know nothing is wrong with me but this trauma from my mother’s vindictive side of the family, bullying and just encountering my share of drama with people I’ve come across is unjust considering I’m a very peaceful person. I’m very unsociable and usually now expect people to make the first move to contact me, with current “friends”, family and if a guy actually wants to make a move (which never happens). I feel like people always say things about how everyone goes through a difficult time and we all have a cross to bear. But honestly, I have to disagree. It’s all about the cards your dealt with and life is a series of good and bad luck, some situations are in your control and others not so much. I didn’t ask to be born into my family, I would have been a different person maybe for the better if I wasn’t raised by my grandmother. I wouldn’t have had to go with my grandmother if my mom didn’t divorce my dad.

TL; DR; Does anyone get envious and also under the impression that most people just have life a lot easier and shit is just unfair?
