Guys, in which category does your partner fall into?

The older I get, the more I become aware of the importance for women to have a job or a stable source of income to fall back on as a measure of precaution.

I think it’s a nice idea to be able of being a housewife that takes care of the kids and household, but realistically it’s becoming harder for women to find men who are worthy of such a commitment.

One of my best friend’s mother got abused by her husband and had to work as a maid in order to feed and clothe her daughters after she got a divorce.

And of course, not having your own money will mean that your pool of choice when it comes to a future partner becomes smaller, since in order to be a housewife, the husband needs to earn a good living because one salary is not enough. This would rule out a lot of men who can’t afford all the expenses of a household and kids alone.

So I want to be able to juggle between my career and my family ( I don’t want to jeopardize my children’s future by not being there).

Many of my female relatives are doing both, but I’m wondering how do you gag women deal with the situation.

Do you have a career?
Do you have kids?
Does your man help you with with the house chores/kids?
How stressful is your life? If you could, would you give up your career in order to be fully taking care of the household?

So, I discovered that I need only three more classes to graduate high school. My school counselor suggested that I double up on my classes and have a full day schedule, and get my high school diploma early. My mom is really angry and upset about and is trying to make sure this doesn't happen. But if I do things her way. I'll only be in school for three hours a day and staying at home all day long. She also says i can't get a job, won't give me any other activities to do resides going to school and staying in the house. And she recently got a job so I'm going to be completely alone in the house. But if I double up on classes and take 6 classes a day I can get my diploma faster and start looking for a career choice. But my mom says she'd rather me have the half day schedule and stay at home. I don't think high school is helping me in anyway. In a way, i see a huge dent in her plan of making me stay in the house and trying to make it so I can't have a job or I can't make any money. if I do things her way I'll only be in school for three hours a day... :/

I've finished a year currently at my in-state school and have been offered transfer admission to my target out-of-state school.

Option 1: stay in location that you dislike that you've grown up in (don't fit in, have few friends, climate makes you sick frequently for half of the year). Career that you love but will keep you in or near this location until retirement. No student debt as a result of going to a good in-state university.

Option 2: move to dream state/location (also allowing you to start over and much better climate that doesn't make you sick) and transfer to the out-of-state school. Must pick a career somewhat less passionate about. Must pay out-of-state tuition for a university whose overall ranking is much lower (but is quite decent for the chosen career path) resulting in $25,000 of student debt post-graduation.

I'm 14 days away from executing option 2. Am I making a dumb choice?
