It seems that we live in a fairly superficial society. Everyone wants to out do each other when it comes to romance. Who has the better boyfriend or girlfriend, who gets the most dates, blah blah blah.

I have this one friend whose boyfriend has a pretty good job. He buys her a lot of gifts and what not, though like for ME, that's never really how I've ever been. I don't particularly care for expensive gifts because I feel like I have to pay back the favor or something. AND I just don't like money being spent on me in general. But she likes it, it works for them, so good for them I guess?

But for ME, my boyfriend and I work at the same place, and so he does like a bunch of little sweet things for me a lot. I don't even think he really realizes he's doing them or how sweet he is. But like, heck, just today our supervisors were giving us candy (I still don't know why), my boyfriend grabbed my favorite kind of chocolate apparently, and then held onto it. Then later when I was working near him, suddenly something just pelted me on the chest, I look down, and there is chocolate, I look up to see who the flip just threw candy AT me, my boyfriend is just standing there grinning, he's the only one around. But think about that, he didn't even have to think about it when he decided he was going to do something nice.
For my friend, I can see why she likes the big things, it shows her dude really put a lot of thought into what would make her happy.
However I just like that my boyfriend is able to just automatically think "Oh, she would like this." When given a situation like that. I feel like it really shows how much he cares to think of me just like that.

POLL TIME: This is for both boys and girls, what do you prefer?

Okay so today at work, I finished my shift at 7:00 pm but instead I closed my cash at 7:05 pm and when I told the supervisor that (she's my age and she doesn't like me even tho I'm nice to her, she treats everyone good and I've except me for some reason) I'm 18 and the youngest at work everyone else including the supervisor is like married and have kids. Well anyways when I closed my cash 5 min later than I was supposed to do she said "why did you close it, it doesn't matter if you're done you don't leave until I tell you too especially if there's a line even tho ur done ur shift. She said that In a really rude way out loud (from across the room) which was kinda rude. She NEVER says this to anyone else if there time is done in fact she would take there till/cash 10 min before there shift ends but for me she frikn hates me for no reason so she does this. wbo is in the wrong here? She makes me seem like a bad person even tbo I'm not. This coworker from work doesn't like me anymore too I mean he used to talk to me all the time and always said hi first but now he doesn't do that anymore or talks to me unless I ask a question could that mean he hates me too? He does look/stare st me a lot tho and I pret me not too look when he does that. It just feels like everyone hates me and I don't know why I feel like shit now :(

I saw a question asking why people don't want to get married, and from what I've seen in previous polls, men seem much less inclined to get married.

Some commented that a lot of the reason for people not wanting to get married was because divorce/split rates are really high, and men in particular are more hesitant because in the unforeseen event that something does go wrong, typically the women have the upperhand in the divorce.

So let's say that if you (men) knew that if the marriage did go wrong and that in the case of the divorce, the woman wouldn't be favoured at all for splitting of finances, the house, custody of children etc, but instead it would either be split evenly/fairly/or case by case, would you be more inclined to get married?

I have already asked this question, but had very few responses so am trying it as a poll instead.

I'm fairly average weight wise - about 8st 9 (55kg) - so there's not too much squidgy stomach anyway, but whenever we sit or lay together my boyfriend will often instantly put his hand on my stomach and rub it.
Other times he will poke at my stomach and comment on it being squidgy and soft, and that he likes how squidgy it is.

I was curious as to whether this was something most guys do, is there a reason for it or is he just a bit odd?

I've left it open to girls and guys, so girls can answer from their own experiences too.

So, I work with this guy. I see him every day, so I started saying hi to him when I saw him in the hallways. He's very quiet and, if I had to guess, I'd say he was an introvert due to the fact that I don't really see him talking to people a whole lot. But he always says hi back.

But there are a few times that he has flat out ignored me when we passed.. I was about to say hi and he looked down at his phone really fast, or, one time, I even saw him outside and he was looking over at me and then when I looked at him (took me a second to even realize it was him) he looked away very fast and didn't wave.. that seems weird to me, I feel like the natural thing would be to wave.

But then again, he looks at me a lot.. I sometimes look up and I'll catch him looking at me, and he'll glance away and then back. He never smiles or says hi unless I do it first.. He just gives me a blank look.

We've talked a bit, and his body language has suggested that he's interested - we were talking in the elevator and his legs were pointed towards me and he was standing pretty close, almost like he was "boxing me in" .. but then every time we've talked, he's rushed to get away from me as soon as the elevator ride was over or we exited the building together or something.

I genuinely don't know whether he dislikes me or likes me? or is he just neutral?
