Search Results: how to tone up

I go over on the weekends to my boyfriends house, where his mom also lives (she doesn’t work). He rarely has groceries - eats fast food or buys ingredients to make one meal and then said meal is gone, then so is the food and the cycle repeats - so, I started bringing my own food and snacks. I often cook from scratch as well. I also want to be as little of a burden as possible.

However, my boyfriend has taken to helping himself to however much of my food/snacks he wants to the point that he often eats more than I do. I’ll have closed up something and put it away, only to turn around and he’s eating it and left it open. This happens often. I’ve tried giving pretty on-the-nose hints, such as when he does this I say “Did you open that back up after I closed it?” or when he’s eating handfuls of something at a time, I’ll say “Dude!” in a “Really?” sort of tone. Sometimes he will straight up take something I’m eating out of my hands to eat himself. He will even let his mom eat my things as well. (Last weekend, I accidentally left a big box of hot pockets over at his house and he texted me saying his mom had eaten them. When if he had just told her not to, she wouldn’t have). I don’t want to hurt his feelings, but I find this really annoying.

Thoughts? Would this be annoying to you as well? Thanks in advance!

So I've been talking to this guy for a few months now and he told me something personal that is usually a common question when people ask about someone your usually seeing/talking too. I ended up telling someone about that personal thing because they asked about that common question and if i did say something generic about the question i knew they would keep asking so i told them and then i told him i told that person.

He said he felt betrayal in a way. he's a very private person and its his first experience when it comes to a relationship. Which i understand but it felt like he wasn't getting my side of things which was a little frustrating.

Also I've been talking about the future a lot and about meeting each other family etc. When im happy and excited about things i usually think about those things. He said i need to tone it down a bit because it made him uncomfortable and nervous. He wants to take things slow and make it right and said he could see a future with me. Things he was saying kind of made me feel like shit and it didn't seem like he was understanding how it was normal and i apologized.

He said he doesn't want to give up on this and we were both stress. It sometimes feels like if he talks about the future etc then its okayy but if i do sometimes its like too soon to talk about it.
