I have had a crush on this student dentist for almost a year now. It happened pretty quickly after she wouldn't shut up and started telling me every detail about her life and interests. She was adorable. She was also a nerdy blonde dentist. So naturally I couldn't help but have a crush on her.

Whenever she takes my blood pressure it goes through the roof when I am with her. Ever reading I have ever gotten without her shows my blood pressure as EXCELLENT. The last couple times I have gone to the dentist we have joked about it. She even jokingly said, "You know what I think it is? I think it's me. It's because I am so scary." I of course complimented her on this and gave her a high five. That created a laugh.

It got to be our second to last appointment and every message she sent me would be like "soooooo... this is almost our LAST appointment together and you are all done..." She was making a big deal of this on three different calls and it got me a bit frustrated about it and I asked her not to remind me that the last appointment was coming up.

She calls me today for our last appointment tomorrow. I spill my feelings. This is how the convo went. Keep in mind, she called me while she was at work and was likely standing there on the dental floor. I felt her conversation was rather cryptic and she was holding back what she wanted to say.

Her: Any other questions?
Me: Yes actually. For awhile I have had concerns about my high blood pressure at the dentist when you do the reading. I found out the reason why. It's because I have a crush on you. I hope that's not awkward.
Her: No. Not at all. How are you feeling now?
Me: Uhm. Good I guess. I just kept it to myself because I didn't want to make things awkward.
Her: Not at all. We can check it when you get here tomorrow.

I felt this strange sense that she was holding back in what she had to say because she was on the dental floor. What do you think she will say tomorrow? Does she like me?

To briefly summarize, I met this girl at work 6 years ago, and we dated for about 7 months before she broke us up for two years because she was mormon and I wasn't. We got back together and we dated for almost two years, with the understanding I'd try her church, and if I didn't like it she wouldn't pressure me and it wouldn't change.
But everything changed because she went on a mission, she broke us up, and spent half the mission trying to convert me, and then stopped talking to me.
She blew me off when she came home and lied to me and accused me of things I didn't do in the relationship.

It's been a year, I have a girlfriend, and my ex is now married. But we had jury duty together this week, and it was strange. Once it concluded, she came up to me and asked how I was doing. I responded, but I didn't ask how she was doing. She asked if I was gonna ask her and I told her I didn't care. She got upset and said if I had loved her I would care about her happiness now.
I told her I stopped caring, I thought the world of her and she betrayed me and spat in my face. I had once loved her, but I didn't feel for her, and her words were hallow because her actions left me feeling her 'love' was just words and part of her manipulation of me.
She said she did, that she cared about my happiness and that she's looked at my social media to see how I'm doing. I told her I was happy to know so I could block her. I told her I'd never forgive her for what she did, but I moved on and don't care about her. As I walked away, she started to cry but I didn't stop and kept walking.

Was I too harsh?

When I was 26 years old I pierced both of my ears. That was because I loved to wear earrings but I didn't dare it when I was a teenager. And started to wear them whenever it was possible.

But now, twenty years later I have another problem. I don't want to wear normal earrings any more, but big hoop earrings. You know, the big silver hoops that only girls have. Or Nuno Bettencourt, when he was young and wild.

So I buyed them and put them in in my ears. And although I love the feeling of these hoops, dangling in my ears, I don't feel comfortable with them. That's because I'm the only man who's wearing such a big hoops. So everybody has a opinion about me and my hoops. And they are not always nice.

So my what do you think, should go for it and enjoy my big hoop earrings? Or should I resist this strange feeling and say goodbye to my beloved 'girly' hoops?
