Is it oké for a man to wear big hoop earrings, like girls do?

When I was 26 years old I pierced both of my ears. That was because I loved to wear earrings but I didn't dare it when I was a teenager. And started to wear them whenever it was possible.

But now, twenty years later I have another problem. I don't want to wear normal earrings any more, but big hoop earrings. You know, the big silver hoops that only girls have. Or Nuno Bettencourt, when he was young and wild.

So I buyed them and put them in in my ears. And although I love the feeling of these hoops, dangling in my ears, I don't feel comfortable with them. That's because I'm the only man who's wearing such a big hoops. So everybody has a opinion about me and my hoops. And they are not always nice.

So my what do you think, should go for it and enjoy my big hoop earrings? Or should I resist this strange feeling and say goodbye to my beloved 'girly' hoops?

People will just think you’re gay unless you’re a total baller with women. I don’t wear hoop earrings but people constantly think I’m gay and I can’t stand it lol. So it’s up to you and if you can deal with that.

That exactly the reason that I don't wear my big hoops when I go out. I'm not gay or look gay, so that not the problem. But with these earrings people will think I'm and not everybody accept gay people.

So when I wore them once in public during daylicht, an old women said she loved my earrings, but kids also called me gay.

I don't know why but they look so uncomfortable to me.
But that's the difference between wearing hoops when you could have spacers and then your ears have natural hoops.
