I purchased a condo on the first floor a little less than a year ago. I lived in apts before and am familiar with having noisy people living above me. When I bought this place, the previous tenant mentioned that the neighbor upstairs did not make any noise. She was not the seller, she was renting from the seller so I don’t see why she’d lie. I took her word but turns out he’s a nightmare. One single man in a one bedroom home should not be so noisy. After a few months, I approached him face to face and he claimed that he doesn’t make the noise that I accused him of. Which was: walking loudly, dropping things and sounding like he’s building things (on a consistent basis). It becomes an issue when it’s done past 10 PM, there are times where he’s quiet for a whole month then shortly after he’s noisy then quiet again for a few weeks. It makes no sense, I’ve called the cops on him twice and last time I confronted him, I yelled at him. He claims that I am mistaking him with someone else, mind you, it’s only noisy when he’s home. He’s moving out in the next month but I’m determined to call the cops every time he’s noisy past 10 PM. It’s just so disrespectful, I don’t see how he can be so malicious towards me from the beginning. There is carpeting upstairs so he must be doing this to get a reaction out of me.
