My friend asked me back in May if I wanted to audition for American Idol in September. I said yes. We hung out here and there and practiced singing (sing different songs and not really commit to anything). My friend, however for the past week has gotten on my nerves. We have been hanging out every single day at my house. I still haven't committed to a song and she yells at me saying "you've had 3 months to pick a song and I've told you this and now the audition is 3 weeks away and you still have no song and keep switching" and "how the hell do you think you can prepare a song in 3 weeks, you shouldn't have waited this long". I have been trying to find songs but my voice doesn't seem to go with anything and I told her this and she told me "your not gonna perfect the song the first time you sing it, it's called practice, which is what we are supposed to be doing every time I come over here but you keep going from song to song and bitching about how you can't sing it". And she tells me I'm really irritating her. I keep saying mhm, yeah, and okay to everything she says when she's yells at me and she's like "that's all you can say is mhm, how about you actually do something about it instead of going mhm or okay". I wanted to go to her house today and she's like we can't practice singing here and you know this (her parents WILL and Have yelled at us). So I told her to ride her bike to my house and she's like "what for so you can not choose a song and so we can argue, I don't think so". Why is she being so mean? It really hurts my feeling? I wanna audition and my dad is gonna take us but I don't want her to keep screaming at me. She has 3 songs already and I have none. We are both 16 by the way
