We have a communal white board where the prompt is “what are you thankful for?”. Someone wrote “being black!” which I thought was funny. One time I was drunk I asked my black coworker if he wrote it. He said “if I did what would you think of me?” I was too drunk to think of a response and just ended up staring at him. The rest of the conversation I couldn’t remember.

Now it’s next week and I feel awkward when I’m around him like I did something offensive. He said not to worry about it but I still feel bad. How can I patch things up?

Last week I came home drunk and crashed on the bathroom floor muttering to myself. Not my proudest moment I admit. My roommate (who can't speak good English and annoys me constantly) asked me to leave so he could use the restroom. (There are multiple restrooms it's not like he had to use just this one.)

Does a bathroom in a shared house count as a "public" place? I read on this article that you can't be convicted for being drunk in California. But you CAN be convicted for obstructing a public place in California while being drunk. But is a bathroom in your house a public place? I don't think so but I need some lawyer speak here to be sure.

This is just for my legal curiosity. I personally don't think I did anything illegal and I think my roommate is an idiot who's just trying to spook me because we got into an argument recently and I made him look stupid.
