I'm asking this question for my job coach. He overheard my crush saying she wasn't trying to "reject" me.

Today I found out verbally that this week will be my crush's last week working at the thrift store that I volunteer at. She (19) is a few years younger than me (22). My job coach (33) is much older than me, but they seem to get along slightly better - just slightly.

For the "longest" time (I'd say about a month or two) I hadn't opened myself up to the girl I approached. Despite her being younger than me, she was actually in charge of the site where I was helping with donations and stocking clothes separately by gender/age (men's, women's, kids') and type (tops, bottoms).

Once I heard from her that she was quitting, I asked her where she thinks she's considering moving to as far as career goes, and she said she's moving for school. I prompted that she didn't mind me asking, could I have her number. She said no, I apologized by saying sorry but she told me not to be sorry since it's work and she has to keep it all work-related, even after I said I just wanted to make a friend.

THAT was when my job coach started hearing the "reject" part from the girl's mouth. To be fair, my job coach even told me that when he and she first started talking it seemed a bit off. The girl was supposed to just be a temporary employee.

My job coach thought that I was making the girl feel uncomfortable and the disability program I belong in has guidelines regarding communications/appropriate talk with the opposite sex. I've literally seen job coaches flirt with each other in the program and people didn't seem to think it was a big deal.

The girl and the male job coach both are white people of European ethnicity. I am ethnically Arab and Armenian.

The rules exist because of the monetary rewards system and the points get downgraded if misbehaviors and even flaws are pointed out by the job coaches. Men with disabilities are almost treated like children in many cases.

So here are some statics on crime in America to help frame up the discussion.

So according to FBI/DOJ statics in regards to police shootings, as you see Blacks are shot by police at a rate of 1 per every 40 million Black people. Whites are shot by police 1 for every 16 million. So this is concerning, but is it? 🤔

As you see in the numbers above, total number of Whites arrested in 2018 were 5.3 million. Total number of Blacks arrested was 2.1 Million. So 69% of all arrests were Whites, and 27% of all of all arrested were Blacks.

But as you look at the numbers for murder arrests. There were a total of 3,953 Whites arrested for murder, but there were 4,778 Blacks arrested for murder. That means 44.1% of all murder arrests were Whites, and 53.3% of all murder arrests where Blacks.

So you see total population numbers for Whites and Blacks in the United States there were approximately 250 million White people, and 44 million Black people. So Blacks roughly make up 15% of the total population but account for 27% of all arrests and 44% of all murders, and are shoot by police at twice the rate of white people. But at 27% crime rate means blacks commit crime nearly 2 to 1 compared to Whites, and commit nearly 3 to 1 more murders. So Blacks are15% of the total population of United States and account for 27% of all crimes, and 53% of all murders.

So does means Black are commit crimes at twice the rate as Whites, murder at over 3 times the rate of whites?

So what are these social injustice types trying to tell us?

The answer really comes down to if you're willing to believe that the higher crime rates amoung blacks is due to systematic racial discrimination by Whites. Meaning its not their fault, its the white guys fault.
