Are you racist for dating someone because they are a different ethnicity from you, or racist for not dating someone who is a different ethnicity?

There's a troll on this site who was saying a woman was racist for dating a black man. But it got me thinking as, a white woman, being interested in someone who is n. east indian how many people would think I am racist for dating him.

I know everyone has their own preferences, etc. I am asking in general.

Racist > dating someone who is a different ethnicity than you

Racist > for not dating someone who is a different ethnicity than you

Whomever you decide to date or be in a relationship with is neither.
Believing that because you're dating outside your ethnicity is inherently racist as you are placing their race both above and below every other race. Also, you're not dating that person for them but for their skin color.

I prefer to date outside my race preferably white or latina. That's just my personal preference.
