Search Results: response to a thank you

I ask bc I tend to either not talk much at all or talk way too much. By too much I don’t necessarily mean volume itself but more so in reaction to the person I’m speaking to. I just kind of go on and on until I’m done.

At some point I’m done and I know when that is but it doesn’t seem to be obvious to people I talk to bc often they respond before I’m finished. Then go back and see what they may have said.. which by the time I’m done it can be confusing knowing which thing to respond to. Words accrue..

So I’m thinking if consistently get responses before I’m naturally finished, there must be a kind of average amount of words used in online messaging. If I can limit myself to more common and reasonable amount of words, it may help facilitate better understanding.

Ironically, I think I tend to say a lot bc I’m trying to preemptively correct Potential misunderstanding- which typing too much at once, seems to cause anyhow.

Im not paranoid I mean people do often fail to get what I’m saying.. but I don’t think k we explaining stuff before they had a chance to misunderstand and or ask clarifying questions questions, is at all helpful. Judging by experience.

I recently, as in a week ago, started to see this guy. We don’t text very often but we do work together, I try to keep things very professional while he is always trying to flirt or make me smile, which works based on the positions we are in. Anyways I feel like when we text he doesn’t always seem that excited or doesn’t want to text much. For example I just made lunch plans with him and his response was “yeah sounds cool”.

I know it’s only been a week (not even really) and that some people just aren’t big texters and he is in his early 30s anyways so I can see him not being into it. But I can’t help and feel stressed about it so I wanted to come on here and get some extra opinions!
