So long story short :
Last month, me and my girl went to a party hosted by one of our friends. She went on and sat with a bunch of her friends and i sat with a bunch of mine. Then, one thing led to another and i regretfully cheated on my girlfriend with a girl i always had a crush on. Now, a month later, i feel like our relationship has become frail as if she realized i am keeping a secret from her. I feel tired of this relationship and i decided to take an action. So the question is :
Should I break up with her and save her the trouble of knowing what i did (which i know will break her heart) or should i just tell her the truth and eventually get dumped by her (same outcome) ?

OK, I don't actually have a sky high salary at this time but if I get to a high paying position I do not want women to know about it (they may start expecting more from me or they'll dump me if I don't bring home as much or worse lose my job). My concern here is attracting women for me and not because of my salary. If I attract a woman, i want her to be genuinely attracted to me and not because I told her I make 6 figures $$$ or something.

I hate gold diggers and i hate women chasing men mainly because they have a ton of money and i hate hypergamy. I consider them to be on the lowest end and nobody should date them.
