How long after No Contact did a mature conversation happen?

so long story short. On Saturday my boyfriend comes to me. I had my location on and went out to dinner with my brother. And the location said that I was at a bar even though I was at the burger joint next-door. I think he had been wanting to dump me for a while, because he use that as an excuse to why we should break up. It was a stupid excuse because he knew that had a video chat me I could’ve proved him wrong. Since then, he has not wanted anything to do with me. Every day I try to contact him and every day he yells at me to leave him alone. I’ve tried everything to get him to communicate with me and nothing seems to work he just really seems to be done. He is a bit toxic so he’s done this before, but it’s never been as serious as this time around.

I want to do No Contact because it’s obviously what he wants and by keeping contact, I just got treated like dirt and reminded every day how he’s over me. I am just scared to do no contact because I’ve heard no contact equals seeing someone else. So the fear that he wants to have no contact because he’s seeing somebody else is scary.

So I guess like my question, how long of No Contact did you and your ex go. And how long was it until you were either over them or until you guys had a mature conversation and decided to work on things
