Communication is the key ingredient to any great relationship, its how we stay connected and make improvements, when/where necessary.
When was the last time you paused everything else in your life and devoted some time to discussing your relationship with your one and only?
I know from my standpoint, I sometimes apply the... if it ain't broke, don't fix it approach, which is something I need to work on.
I ask him/her on a regular basis how we are doing...
Never really comes up so why rock the boat when things are going so swimmingly...
