Why Do People Treat People/Relationships Like Throwing Away Yesterday's Trash?

Question

I've seen some questions on here tho, that just... smh... Like come on people... "If she/he gains weight should I dump her/him"?
"If he/she goes through a rough patch, should I dump her/him" .
"Is it okay to cheat if you're bored"

How bout the time you wasted asking that question, spend with your SO and maybe you all wouldn't be so bored.
If you "truly" care for someone, you're there for the ups and downs. You don't just throw the person away like yesterday's trash.

Relationships aren't a fairy tale, they take commitment, and compromise, and so much more. But if it's real, it's so worth it!

Honestly I think its because since its so easy to get into a relationship these days for many such as through the internet and through all of the modern luxuries that we didn't used to have relationships value has decreased because its now easy to hook up or cheat with somebody so when they act like their relationship are disposable I feel its because that its because the value of it has decreased and its no longer special when you get one as many don't have patience due to the modern world being instant access to stuff like information and entertainment which causes other effects including impatience in relationships in my opinion. Its like if gold suddenly became super common to have and could easily be replaced which is how many relationships are treated nowadays in my opinion. Also not saying that everybody doesn't have a valid reason for wanting to dump as if its abuse or something then its very justifiable wanting to quit the relationship but I agree stuff like 'should I quit because my partner walks funny' is a bit overdramatic. One final point I want to mention is that I also think that many people don't actually know what they are looking for sometimes and go into a relationship because its a novelty which leads to them not being prepared which then leads to problems sometimes like the ones you described as its always important to be in the right state of mind! But that's my opinion!

Honestly, they have this fuck and dump mind set. Because someone had difficult dealing with their emotions. Instead of learning how to cope with their own emotions or their partners or both. To them it's just easier just to dump them and go fuck some other bimbo.

Me and you and most in our age group or older went though this shit in high school. But something came out after us went though and it went mainstream.

The internet, chatrooms, social media, cellphones. The instant feedback of on-line and now I see this high school bullshit lasting till people are into their 30s.

Two of my own kids are full of this stupidity. I watch them go from one to another like taking turns on carnival rides at the circus.

Talk about being fucked up.

It No secret. (YOUNG PEOPLE PAY ATTENTION HERE). It's called listening, unstanding, compromising, and not using them as a fuck toy. That's how you get 20, 30 and more years out of marriage.

Well im ready to dump my boyfriend. But it not becasue he a bad person or trash. we are just way too different. I dont see the purpose to force things. people can only compromise so much and everyone should have limits. Always. I like to think everyone has that right.

Most people now a days seem to stay in unhappy because they "do" try but 9 out of 10 the probability of them being together ended a long time ago.

My parents are still but that just because my mom got pregnant literal right after high school. She admits she loves my father but she doesn't think that they would still be together if it wasn't for us girls.

It seem to me for things to last. people need events that bring them closer not just love. my 2 cents anyway

It's like bruh if u only care about someone's looks or if he/she can have sex with you then you don't deserve a relationship!

It's sad, really.
These days, people are giving up on their relationships too easily, the first bump on the road is a reason to change partner like they were dirty laundry.
It all comes with technology too. It allowed us to not persevere in something real for the ability it gives us to swipe right and start all over with someone new.

That's your interpretation of what relationships are.
Personally, I don't see the point in keeping a relationship like that going.
If you think that it is worth maintaining something which is clearly not ideal then good for you.

I personally don't see the point in it.
I will much rather have a perfect relationship for 2 years, than try to "make it work" for 20 years.

How successful a relationship isn't determined by how long it is.
At least not for me.

Technology and online dating is great, gives people so many options! Technology and online dating is horrible, people believe they have so many options :(

Prior to online dating there was more incentive to invest time into one person and build a long lasting relationship because if you became single it was hard finding someone else. But now the illusion of options and the ease of communication means people aren’t as invested and can have 2,3,4 people on the side in case their relationship doesn’t work out perfectly. In reality those people have less motivation to improve themselves when they can just float to the next option.

It sounds like you want understanding and clarity as to why people do the things they do when you find it unreasonable, hurtful, and stupid. Just look at the world today where people feel it's justified to burn down a Target or a Wendys. How on Earth can they think like this and act like this?

Some people need understanding so they ask questions. They might even get a Psychology degree to have a deeper understanding. Or go into therapy.

I've done my share of trying to understand these people. I've found it's best (for me) just to walk away from those people. Life is better for me when I'm not in a relationship, except with my pets.

When I was young, I never got into a relationship that I expected to last forever. I really liked my partners both for sex and for who they were as people. I was faithful and treated them with respect. I liked hanging out and doing things with them. But I eventually moved on because I wanted to experience life. I don't know, it's hard to explain why. I will say that I never treated them like trash or cheated when I was with them. I just didn't want to settle down.

Once I got to the age where I wanted to find a life partner it was different. I had a couple of girlfriends and dedicated myself to those relationships. One of those women turned out to be a certifiable psycho. Another one I loved with my whole heart and soul but, in the end, circumstances were such that we couldn't be life partners. I had a really hard time accepting that.
Then I met my future wife. She has taught me what it means to be 100% committed. I'll stick with her through thick and thin, no matter what.

It's like hollywood movie stars and such, 9 times out of tend they get divorced within a year or two, even though they have no need for money, so the main reason MOST people get divorced doesn't even apply to them, and they can't make relationship work anyway, because they don't know what real LOVE is.

It turns out, that they are only after themselves and/or they just aren't qualified for relationships to begin with and should stay single indefinitely. Simple as that.

For women however finding replacements is a piece of pie.
For men I am not sure. Women complain about them men cheating and/or keeping them as sidehoes/pieces of meat but at the same time these are the same men, who women are swarming after while the bigger half of men do not have these options.

The core problem is always the background of why they dated in the first place, they simply start a relationship based on first impressions and becuase commitment such as marriage isn't popular due to financial, religious and social instability they view a current partner as a person who makes them run away from reality: which is indifference. Thus when something bad happens they run as fast as they can beaucase the relationship from the beginning is based on false ground. Commitment is tied to beliefs and shared ideas which are not available during these years. If you think about it marriages mostly happen in places and countries where people are less educated, you ask me why because uneducated people aren't aware of indifference which makes them pure and thats how humans should be even when they get educated.

When they get tired of sex with the same person they move on to the next, and unfortunately, sometimes leaving broken hearts and shattered love in their wake.

I have a boyfriend now so I am not too worried about people. What I have been through I realize that there isn't a perfect person. So dont try looking for someone is perfect because that doesn't exist. Everyone has flaws so cannot judge people just on their looks you gotta look what is within. If someone is willing to leave you let them. I had to learn when to move on when people show disinterest.
