My roommate keeps leaving her laundry in there all day and left a passive aggressive note on the refrigerator? Am I the asshole?

I live in a 3 by 3 apartment with 2 other girls. I don’t know either of them but when I met them, they both seemed pretty chill. We all have totally different work schedules and we never ever really even see each other. So lately, I’ve noticed a pattern where girl A (lets just call her A) leaves her clothes in the washer machine for hours and sometimes days at a time. I know there her clothes because I will see her come out of her room half naked, with her music all the way blasted up and washing laundry mid-day.

One time, I needed to really use the laundry and of course, she left her fucking clothes in there soaking wet, and left a fuck ton of her clothes in the dryer too so no way possible I could use it. I told her I’m removing the clothes out of the washer machine because they been in there for way too long and she didn’t even say thank you for my taking the clothes out of there for her.

And she just keeps doing it over and over and I take them out and dump all her shit on the couch. Just yesterday, I came home for my break to see if she removed her clothes and they were (8 hours of straight chillen in there) and STILL in there so I put her crap on the couch. Later that night, she put a note on the fridge saying that we should text her and agree on a day to wash clothes. She acts as if she’s the only person that pays rent there. It’s not fair to others who need to use the laundry to have her clothes in there all day.

Houseshares are always difficult no matter how pleasant each party is.

Everybody yearns for their own space. However, circumstances are such that you've all had to houseshare.

You can't change the past but you can change the future for the better for all of you.

I've never been the party who would abuse/overlook/ignore the needs ands wants of other housemates and having been in your shoes even thought they don't fit, I feel your pain.

Take the note as a stepping stone for you all to sit down and agree some rules for your houseshare whereupon you all agree.

Everybody has a voice and has to be heard and the meeting doesn't finish until everything has been discussed and agreed.

That way, going forward even if you don't all spend time together you'll all know what to expect of each other.

This sounds like a power struggle for the roomate your living with, and it sounds like she is extremely lazy and hates doing her own chores... well decide on a date when its your turn to do the laundry, and if she bitches, tell her to screw off and find another place to live, bc this girl isn't ready to be mature about sharing the laundry room with you or any one, there's no respect for anyone and very rude of her. You are not at fault at all, its her that is in the wrong, you are the tenant and therefore you got a lot of rights... so see if the date thing works first, but if it doesn't then find a place first, then give her your notice whomever you rent from ok. Not only is she lazy. She is is also extremely selfish. This is not just only her apartment. It’s my house too. If I pay rent, I should be able to wash my laundry when I fucking need to. If she wants to be lazy. She needs an apartment of her own. Should I confront her or just keep dumping her laundry on the couch?
