How do we stop young women from being in the scenario where their boyfriends leave them when they become pregnant?

In my opinion, if we could make women confident enough in herself, in both, about how she looks or what's value she possesses then we can stop it. Only a woman can protect herself from being treated badly, and this only can happen if she has self confidence. If we can raise strong woman no man can treat her bad. She won't let anyone to do so. She would create her own boundary, she won't compromise, she won't tolerate injustice. She won't let any toxic men to be with her. And then it would become possible.

It needs to be harder, if not impossible, for men to walk away from the family they created. Especially now with abortion laws being pushed, men need to be more on the hook for parental responsibility. And not just financially, but physically. Meanwhile, women need to be empowered to properly disqualify a man who’d even want to walk away.

Sorry, but I have no sympathy here. Unless they are forced, they have all the power sexually in a relationship and even one night stands. They need to enforce condom useage at the very least or no sex other than oral.

Personally, I think all men should freeze their sperm samples at graduation and get snipped so they have complete control over their reproductive rights.

If the man agrees in advance, and is in a relationship then yes, they have a responsibility to uphold. But the scales must be balanced. I myself has to defend against false pregnancy claims in court even with a vasectomy. Not once, but twice. They didn't know about my surgery, and told the court the condom leaked or broke. Even with a Dr's testimony, I was forced to give a dna sample and spent thousands in lawyer fees, test fees and months of my time fighting bogus claims.

Until women can no longer use pregnancy and children as weapons in legal battles, both genders need to learn to make better decisions to protect themselves.

Sorry to hear what you went through. I agree that birth control is effective, when used properly. Sadly, there’s an attack on birth control by conservatives. If they keep it up, they’re going to force both men and women to undergo surgery and drive the birth rate down even further.
