The friendzone to me is when a woman plays dumb when she’s getting pursued from a guy she has no interest in. However she but can’t so no to the attention, favors, free meals, free counseling, etc. She doesn’t respect him and therefore doesn’t feel guilty about exploiting the setup.

This is NOT the same as asking to be “friends” after one or two dates. I don’t have a problem with that. Although the question itself can be unnerving, it still let’s the guy know where he stands. In that scenario it’s up to the guy to stay or leave.

This also sometimes happens vice versa with genders, but not nearly as often. I had to be honest with women I just wanted to be friends before).

I have been trying to hit the point that the real reason guys get angry about the friendzone isn’t about lack of sex, it’s about lack of respect. It’s about girl not seeing the guy as a real man so she feels comfortable assuming he’s okay with the friendzone (as I defined above).
