What is so bad with living with your parents at age 22, 25, 30, even 35 and older? Other countries have people live with their parents until they are engaged or marred, sometimes family homes have 3 generations living in the same house to share expenses and everyone lives more financially comfortabe.

When people in America move out too young they are living either in a bad area, or in a decent area with random people they found on CraigsList to afford to live there (talk about dangerous!)... and most struggle financially because they rush moving out of their parents' house to be try-hard about proving how "adult" they are, instead of taking the financial responsible route of staying with their parents to save up money to get themselves a car AND their own place in a safer area and/or in more financial comfort.

I don't why the culture in America is so hellbent on kicking out their children into the world unprepared in adverse circumstances, and shunning the financial responsibility of living at home. There are social stigmas about "you're a mama's boy/girl", "you're not really an adult", "when are you gonna grow the fuck up", etc. , because you make the systemically and financially best decision for oneself by continuing to live at home and save up your chips so when you move out, it is done smoothly and with minimal stress, vs living with Craigslist strangers around you and possessions or living in a place one can barely afford in a bad area, causing unnecessary stress.

Why do you think America is so focused on people hastily moving out of their parents' house, even when they aren't systemically nor financially prepared to do so safely and responsibly?
