So this guy that I've been having a "thing" with. I call it a "thing" because I'm not sure exactly what it is. Neither of us are. We basically say we are friends but we talk every day, stay the night at each other's houses, cook each other dinner, etc. Basically things that couples do but we are friends. And we've had the talk and right now, neither of us are really ready to do the whole relationship thing. And he keeps saying that he worries about my feelings and my heart but then he'll turn around and continue to be this guy. I'm the person he calls when he's sick and in the hospital. He calls or texts me every evening to ask me about my day at work. He shows me sides of himself that he doesn't let other people see, even the embarrassing ones. And the other night we were taking turns giving each other back rubs and we were talking about me going hiking this weekend and he says "oh i guess you don't want me to go huh? That's fine, go be with your other boyfriend" He tells me I'm his best friend but it just seems like his words and his actions dont add up.

i'm just looking for some insight on him so I created a poll... mainly cuz i've never done one before. lol. Feel free to leave comments as well because any help could be usefull!

So long story short i've been dating this guy for two months now. We see each other very often and he is really affectionate. However, there is a catch: I'm leaving in two weeks. He always knew this was going to happen and actually we lost contact after three dates for this reason. Then we started talking again and we started dating again.

We never talk about what this is or what it isn't and i'm very confused. I know this is not going to evolve into a long distance relationship and I don't want that but sometimes I do feel its something more. We cuddle, we go on dates, we are affectionate and we talk about our lives. However, I don't feel safe talking about my feelings with him. First, he doesn't talk about his feelings so why should I? Second, we don't talk everyday and I don't know his friends and he doesn't know mine. Third, on Friday I had a really important event going on, he congratulated me and I invited him to a party with my friends that night, he said maybe but then didn't said a word until Sunday where he invited me out to eat to celebrate. Yesterday we cuddled as usual but he woke up several times to kiss me or to pull me close to him while I was sleeping.

I just don't know how a guy can fake intimacy like this. I also think we need to speak about how we feel. I know I'm leaving and that it doesn't matter but it would make things more clear, at least for me. What do you guys think? Should I risk it or I'm just setting myself for heartbreak?

and thats where it ends. lol I rarely date and my guy friendships are never flirty. I've called him out on a couple of times on his word choices he's used in the pass and he's said he's not that type of guy. he's vey professional and normal on his fb page so this is very different side of him.
