My ex broke things off while he was on vacation. He texted said we need to talk then called & said that text was a “slip”. He said he wasn’t feeling it anymore & things weren’t progressing. After asking why, he said “you wanna know the truth? I never developed feelings for you since day 1.” So for 6 months he never developed feelings. The convo ended abruptly, but instead of calling back or seeing me in person... he ghosted me.

when we dated, everything was too perfect. We clicked like it was meant to be. We ignored the 10 year gap because it felt like we were meant to be. He wrote me paragraphs how he’s crazy about me, cares about me to the moon and back, how I’ll be his wife, this and that. He spent $400 on flowers for Vday- basically the way he acted & things he said, made me build fantasies about the future of us. He got a new house and I decorated it all. He introduced me to his entire family, his close friends and their families. He called me his fiancé. Literally eveything was going perfect and he always told me he’s going to fight for me and stay by my side no matter what happens because we are meant to be and no other man will ever have me. From all the good morning baby texts to goodnight baby texts to Random i miss you and I’m thinking about you texts to other texts and convos, I was happy and assured he was the one according to how he acted with me.

We had arguments but resolved them and never stayed mad. There were red flags though. he was emotionally and verbally abusive but was blinded by how much I fell for him. He told me things any woman would be upset about but i ignored. I thought I was overthinking or he gave an explanation. He slowly stopped to care, he didn’t compliment me, made me feel I wasn’t good enough for him. The make outs, touching, hugging stopped. He was always on his phone. I became cold towards him due to his behavior because he was acting cold & rude with me.

- we still hang out every week
- he still initiates contact every week (sometimes randomly calling me just to talk)
- when we are in the cinema, he always leans to me and touches my arm and says "are u asleep?" Or jokingly says "watch the movie, dont sleep"
Or sometimes if its quiet he would try to scare me
- when im on my phone, he always goes "why u hiding your phone? Who you messaging?" And leans over to see what im doing on my phone
- sometimes he plays around like he would finish his popcorn and give me the empty box and annoying me with it during the movie
- he still teases me
- we still share same drink together (using same straw)
- after he drove me home, he ask for a hug and then squeezes me tight for long time before he lets go
We dated for 1 and a half years
Does it seem like he still have feelings for me?

After breakup, he would do the following things:
- he always initiates texting (he text me several times a week , not everyday)
- he always initiates hanging out every week
- he's always walking and standing closely beside me
- he teases me and still calling me nicknames
- he touches my shoulder, arms, thigh sometimes but then quickly removes his hand
- he holds my shopping bags if he sees im struggling
- he's always asking me "are you ok?"
- he looks at me a lot
- whenever im on my phone and he’s beside me, he would always look over at what im doing on my phone (e. g. if a guy pops up on my Instagram feed, he would ask “whos that?” or if my phone beeps, he would ask “whos texting you?”
- during a movie, he would sometimes look at me and checks up on me by leaning forward towards me asking “u asleep?” or “are u okay? U enjoying the movie?”
- before we say goodbye, he would always ask for a hug and then squeezes me tight for long and then he lets go
Is he still interested?
Or just friendly?
