I know nobody knows the day nor hour of Jesus' return on earth when He splits the eastern sky. But do you think Isaac Newton was given a revelation of His return or just threw out a random year into the future so future generations would marvel over? Or that he would maybe not be accurate but a rough ball estimate of when it may happen? Eventually somebody will get it right since people keep guessing. It is odd to me that he came up with a year that was 356 years into the future from 1704. Most predict a year within a 20 to 50 year time from the year they made the prediction in.

If 32 people predicts Super Bowl 52's winner this upcoming February and each picked a different team, then by default somebody will be right. Even though nobody knew, somebody will be right. Same will predicting the day of Jesus' return.

I am a Christian who strongly believes in my Christian values when it comes to dating, marriage, etc.
There's a girl that I am interested in, and - given she's always finding excuses to be around me in particular among other more telling signs whenever we're in the same place - she may very well like me back.

The issue is that she has been going out with a boy from her school for a few months now. I've never met him, and the only reason I even knew she had a boyfriend was because a friend of mine told me.

I never dated in high school, and I'm pretty new to the prospect of a proper relationship. If I am correct that she likes me back, my question is this -

Should I wait until she leaves him because her feelings have faded before asking her out, or is she waiting to break up with him to see if I confess?

I have avoided being forward or obvious with my feelings because I respect her current relationship, but was that the right choice? Should I have made an effort to show that I like her, or was it right to think I should avoid getting involved?

It would greatly hep if I could get the opinions of traditional Christians in particular, as they come from a similar background with similar values. Anyone is free and welcome to voice their own thoughts though, obviously
