Here is the situation. A close female friend likes me. She hasn't told me but I know it's true. I had to tell her that I don't feel the same. The other day, I called her to tell her, but we talked about a lot of other things for two hours before I finally worked into our conversation that I'm dating a few women (apps). She was surprised because she and I don't talk about our dating lives with each other. She joked, "You date?" Here's where I think I made a wrong move. For the next half hour, I told her that she has blocks and if she wants to be loved, then she needs to be more open. At first, she laughed. Then, she got upset. She asked why do I think she isn't open to love. Based on what? I don't know anything about her dating life. Up until this call, we both didn't talk about who we date. I never asked. She never asked. She said that I only know how she is with me. (True) Does she come off as having walls up? (No) She is the most warm, thoughtful, easy, supportive, and generous friends. I definitely hurt her feelings. I think I said that to get her out there meeting other guys instead of crushing on me. She ended our call. I haven't heard from her since.
