Im confused because my friends make me feel bad for being skinny. Like I'm not a woman, and they even say they have no idea what guy would want me. I don't look unhealthy skinny, I look very fit and in shape, but I don't have hips and my arms are really small. The thing is I have a friend who is the exact same size as me just much taller like a model, and she doesn't get made fun of. She gets compliments all the time. And yet we both have c cup boobs, small waists, and small (but not flat!) butts. But I'm the one that gets made fun of for my size and made to feel like my body is ugly.

Does a skinny girl only look good if she looks like a model? Do you notice girls with skinny bodies in general and think they look good or no?

Also I don't know if this is relevant but I'm black and dark skinned and my friend is very light skinned, does that make a difference? I ask because I know that black people tend to like very thick and overweight women. Are people holding my friend to a different body standard just because she's light?

Hello all! I'm working on a little side project of mine. I'm curious to see what men prefer in regards to women. Girls are free to answer as well, of course, but this will focus primarily on the guys.

Men, read the following two scenarios, and decide which girl you would prefer as a quick fling/short-term dating relationship, and which girl you'd prefer as a long-term/marriage relationship.

Girl A: She's thin, but not incredibly skinny. Modest breasts, attractive exterior, few outer flaws. However, she is very self-conscious about her appearance. She will rarely accept compliments you give her, and even she almost never believes you if you say positive things about the way she looks. She is always genuinely down about her looks, not for attention but simply because she does not believe herself to be beautiful. This impacts her daily routine (i. e. she won't wear certain clothes because she immediately hates how they look, won't go out if she doesn't look good/thinks she looks fat, etc.)
Imagin something like this:


Girl B: She's thicker. She's healthy, but not perfect body-i. e. a bit of a tummy, not carved without perfections, stretch marks or cellulite in some places. This girl is confident in herself, and does not care what other people think. She accepts herself and her body, and lives her life as she chooses. She is healthy but has weaknesses to sweets every so often like most. She won't let what people say about her get her down. Imagine something like this:


Now, personality wise both are kind, affectionate and understanding towards their partner and towards others. Only difference is how they see themselves, and how this affects their lives. Both women are good people.

Now, which woman would you rather have a certain relationship with, and why?

This is something I may try for a sociology project, so consider this a test run ;)
