Search Results: i gave out my number to other guys

Hello! I guess I'm having a typical "Oh my god, he didn't text back" problem, but I hope some of you out there are willing to help me, anyway.

Long story short: I've recently discovered the social media profile of a guy I met a long time ago. He seemed very smitten back then, but I gave him a wrong number by accident and didn't manage to find him online. That was the end of our "love story".

So, I decided to send him a message, something along the lines of me explaining who I am and how I gave him a wrong number by accident. I wanted to play it cool and didn't mention that I used to like him a lot and how sad I was that we could never have the date he promised me. Instead, I decided to write "Unfortunately, I've never had the chance to retaliate for you walking me home that night. Maybe we can meet up for a beer so that I can return the favour". (FYI: He accompanied me to the other side of the town that night which took him an hour longer to get home, even though he had to catch an early train.)

The point is: he read the message and hasn't replied. A friend of mine mentioned that my message sounded kind of cold and that it may imply that I've never wanted to date him but only thank him for walking me home. And that’s why he may not have replied because he might think I was never really interested in the first place.
