You're an EMT (Emergency responder) and are called to the scene of an accident. When you arrive you see that the car belongs to your partner (wife, husband, girlfriend, boyfriend, etc). Fearing the worst you rush over to see they are trapped in their car with another person.

Your partner sees you and although barely conscious, they manage to say “I’m sorry”…You don’t understand, but their look answers you question. The person next to them is their lover with whom they've been having an affair.

You're shocked & devastated by what you've found out. As you step back, the wreck in front of you comes into focus. You see your partner is seriously hurt and needs attention immediately. Even if they get attention there’s a very high chance they'll die.

You look at the seat next to them. Their lover is bleeding heavily from a wound to the neck and you need to stem the flow of blood immediately. It will only take about 5 minutes to stop, but it will mean your partner will definitely die.

If you tend to your partner however, the lover will bleed to death despite the fact it could have been avoided.

Who would you choose to work on?

My wife rarely pays any attention to me. And i asked her to pay more attention to me so she said we will have more family time together (me, her, and the kid) but i want us to have alone time together. She said no and the only time we will spend together aside from sleeping in the same room is the time we spend together with our kid

She says that because children need more attention than an adult, it is ok for her to pay very little individual attention to her husband.

Is she wrong?
