I'm not sure if I consider this cheating or not but..
My parents separated twice before they divorced..

The first separation happened when I was about 10 years old.
I was in elementary school.
My dad had left.. My mom invited some man over
I didn't think twice about it.. I was only 10.

They went in the basement and slept.
In the middle of the night I couldn't sleep so I decided to go sleep with my mom..
All I remember seeing was the guy sitting down on the couch in the basement with his pants down and my mom crouching between his lap.. I went back upstairs before they saw me

The 2nd time I was 12.
My mom had a different guy over...
I was looking for her and couldn't find her.. So I went in her room.. I should've knocked but I wasn't thinking...

I walked in on my mom giving him oral sex..
She turned and looked at me..
I literally saw his junk fall out of her mouth... That Image is stuck and still haunts me.

So I'm one who absolutely loves kids' animated movies. And though not the best movie of all time, Despicable Me was still a really fun movie the first time I saw it. The second one was pretty good, too. The Minions only one I personally hated, and the third one was just simply okay, nothing special, I wouldn't recommend it.

I liked the story, the development, the relationship between Gru and his girls, Lucy, the Minions, etc...

But then, all of a sudden, I started to see Minion merchandise absolutely EVERYWHERE. I never had anything against the Minions, but seeing them everywhere non-stop was getting pretty annoying. Plus, they weren't even the best part of the film. The focus was Gru and his girls. The Minions were just side characters. They were funny, sure... but not that amazing to deserve to be everywhere. The creators then tried to milk it to please the fans, with a movie just about the Minions... and it sucked.

As a result, many people both loved and hated the Minions... the immense love for the Minions is what made their merchandise appear everywhere, but them appearing everywhere also made many people hate them.

But I personally overall just simply feel neutral about the Minions. I like them for what they are, but they're certainly not all that, and don't deserve the immense love they have gotten... but they also don't deserve the hate, either.

They were just simply comic relief characters in a children's movie, nothing more, nothing less... if people didn't over glorify the Minions so much, they'd remain just that, rather than become a menace that's seen everywhere, as they had become. The Minions would know their place, and they wouldn't be overly loved, nor overly hated... but nope, the fans just had to over glorify them.


Minions, you belong here, in the Despicable Me movies! Stay there!

Not here, there, and there... or aka, everywhere! You're doing it wrong!

You don't belong in memes, either! Minion memes suck! Just stick to the movies!
