This may sound like an extremely silly question, but despite having grown up in Orlando (Florida, USA) where it's hot as fuck, I grew up in an extremely conservative family, who believed showing skin was disrespecting oneself. We weren't Muslim or anything, but we just always wore long sleeves and long pants, nothing relatively low-cut... basically, all we showed was our face and hands.

My parents still follow these customs, my older sister doesn't, my younger brother doesn't, and I still personally do. I just always thought longer clothes looked more sophisticated and professional.

So I don't know how it feels to wear shorts. And I never gave it much thought, till I met my girlfriend, who wears in every season except winter, since Orlando is hot as fuck.

I look at her, and compare her style to myself. Her legs are completely bare, except for the upper thighs, where her tiny shorts start (no butt cheek, but a lot of leg), while my legs are completely covered.

Sometimes she asks me to feel her legs after having had shaved, and they are so soft and smooth... how can such delicate legs be almost constantly exposed?

She also one day asked me how I can live in Orlando and never wear shorts, and I just explained I came from a conservative family, and she said, "Ah, that's understandable, sweetie. But it's never too late to change, tehe. Plus, in this type of weather, with the exception of winter, shorts are a million times more comfortable than long pants."

Is my girlfriend right? Are shorts really that comfortable? I imagine it must be pretty weird to wander into public with bare knees and thighs... especially on public seats... and what if two people's legs touch when they're wearing shorts and sitting close together...

But I also never tried it wearing shorts, so... I'm here asking for your opinion.

So I have a uniform at my school which is a white gulf shirt with a vest overtop and I always wear a white undershirt under my gulf shirt. Lately it’s been pretty hot so I have been walking to school in my undershirt and after school when I take my uniform off I usually leave my undershirt on the rest of the day and just wear that with some pants instead of going through the hassle of finding a shirt to go with my pants. Anyway this was exam week so it wasn’t regular classes and all teachers are different so some don’t care for me beI no out of uniform. Anyway yesterday before my physics exam one of my teachers said to me “why are you in your undershirt” and I said it was because it was hot and he said ok. Anyway is it weird to go out in public like this? No one ever said anything to me about it unless I was going somewhere nice then I’ll put on some nice clothes but if I’m just going to Tim Hortans for my ice cap I just go out like this. Even in school no one ever commented. Anyway just wanted to know your opinion.

In some countries the criminals remains anonymous, while in some countries only criminals who are both found guilty, participated in severe crimes and are over 18 years old gets their identity revealed in the public with both image and full names. In Norway for example both Anders Behring Breivik (terrorist), a corrupt police officer and the Nokas robbers got their identity revealed in the media. Children, suspected and minor criminals stays anonymous.

In the US they don't seem to care. Both guilty and suspicious gets revealed. Children does as well. The two girls that were found guilty in the slenderman attack got their identity revealed in addition to harsh punishments. If I remember right, they were 12 or something.

The recent #MeToo movement has had a great impact on women in general, inspiring many women to come forward and break their silence regarding past abuse or assault. Many guilty people have been brought into the spotlight and punished accordingly, and I think it's amazing that it's had such a positive impact.

However it think it has spiraled out of control. Much of the result now is left to the court of public opinion. Someone makes a single accusation, social media flys into a storm, and then the person accused has their career ruined. No evidence, no proof, nothing is really needed for this to happen. You do not need to prove beyond a reasonable doubt anymore that your claim is true, instead it is immediately believed, and the accuser is left to defend themselves.

Is this really right? Is this justice? Think about it. If we are now operating under the assumption of "Guilty until proven innocent" how is the accused supposed to prove their innocence? If an ex of mine starting messaging my employer, telling them to fire me because I sexually abused them, how to I prove I'm innocent? I don't have any messages from our relationship, no video, and it's not like someone was witness to every single time we were together, so what am I supposed to do?

My ultimate question is this: Do you believe #MeToo and the current attitude towards accusations has changed for the better? Or has it spiraled out of control?

Me being as ridiculously tall as I am (6 foot 6) was wondering what the public opinion on height in dating is. For my age group it doesn't pose a problem for me to find a girl as none of them dislike my height, but I hear of older adults having an issue for some reason. Basically what height is too tall?
