So you meet this guy, and he's the best person you've ever met. He's funny, sweet, selfless, caring, doesn't drink/smoke/cuss/ do drugs etc; but then he opens up to you and tells you about his regretful past. In his teens he got into the wrong crowd, stole a couple cars, and committed armed robbery. He was also addicted to everything you could possibly be addicted to. He went to jail and served a couple years time for his crimes. Now he's a changed man. He quit all the alcohol/drugs cold turkey and has been 100% clean for about 7 years. He got all his tattoos removed. Would you or forgive him if his past and date him? Or would you avoid him for fear of him turning back to his old ways? Would you just be his friend?

I know it's a silly question but hear me out. (I'm not taking this too seriously the poll, I just wanted to know your thoughts and I know this isn't going to determine if he is or isn't I'm just curious)

He is a few years older than me, we have been talking for quite some time.

He is also the first guy out of the guys I've talked to (before) that is actually going to meet up and keep his answer. for some reason I feel odd about that in a good way but I feel like he might change his mind.
I told him he was the whole package and he said "You're too sweet, maybe one day"

I met this guy on a dating app. hahaha yep it's that typical. anyway he lived in Texas and moved a lot because of his job and I live in Utah for school. we talked and talked and had the best conversations ever! about everything and nothing. I started feeling like I was falling for him, which scared the fuck out of me because I was never in a relationship before him nor did I ever wanted to be. but with him it was different, so I told him that I might have feelings for him and I don't want to get hurt so tell straight up what this is. he assured me that he felt the same way towards me and he never felt this way towards anyone in a long time. we kept talking and snapchatting, made sure there was no catfishing. eventually we decided to meet up in Colorado, but then he had work problems are plans fell through and we stopped talking. fast forward five months later I'm dating other people no longer on that app. but I feel empty with whomever I date. like I can't hold an intelligent conversation with them. these past few days I keep thinking about him. I want to text him but I don't how or what to say. I'm scared that I might actually like him more than I thought! help!!! also leave in the comments what I should text him, that is if you think I should hahah
