I read an article about a 12 year old girl being murdered by her neighbor. He knew she was home alone and that's why he went over there trying to get in the house. The girl reached out to her mom but couldn't get a hold of her until the second attempt when she told her someone kept knocking on the door and saying let me in. The neighbor tried to rape her but was unsuccessful (thank God for that), so he ended up killing her since she could identify his worthless, piece of shit ass.

Should parents allow their teenage children to stay home alone?

When I was growing up I was rarely home alone - all of my neighbors knew everyone and wouldn't dare do some shit like this.

Let's imagine that someone powerful enough to control mankind (a superior being, a god, whatever you believe) comes to you with an option:

You could end all wars forever. No more fights, no more bombs, no more people dying for nothing, no nation would declare war on another nation for whatever the reason for good! It'd be gone, wars would end in that very moment and from that point on they'd be just on History books.
However, if you chose to end all wars for good, YOU WOULD DIE. Yes, you would have to sacrifice yourself so many could live. Your life for everyone's lives until our world comes to an end.

What would you do? Would you die and save everyone or you would live knowing that each war casualty from that point on could be your fault?
