For the longest time, I've been trying to figure out what I'm doing wrong when it comes to girls. I blamed myself, thinking it's my personality, since I'm a kind person, maybe I'm easy? My kindness is a weakness? Am I a pushover? Maybe it's my physical appearance? I'm 5"5', no girl wants a short guy right? It is my youth? I look 16 when I shave my facial hair. Its has to be my approach. I'm very shy so I'm only open when approached. Do I keep to myself over the fear of rejection? My race? I'd believe it. I wanted to be Asian when I was little. My financal class? I never discuss money over the fear of gold diggers. I started doing research, read books, watched documentaries. I became desperate. Researching other genders, sexualities, headache after headache. I feel straight, I want to be straight but do I deserve to be? People considered I should be bi-curious. Should I start looking at other genders or is my desperation for love, affection and attention made me mentally ill and need professional help?

in the UK when i was studying further education as a mature student, i was told that Racism and Homophobia will not be tolerated, and any extreme or arbitrary views i mentioned would be referred to the police and i may well be forced to attend their PREVENT program. The program is designed to stop, and prevent radicalisation or extremist behaviour. (i am not a racist or Homophobe at all, so this was all good with me)

But I was also told, the i HAD to accept transgender, and the million other sexualities and genders that came with it. If a girl was born a girl, and they wanted to be called Tom because they wanted to be a boy, I HAD to go along with it, i couldn't call her Cindy (if that was her real name for example). If i refused to do this, i could also be put in the PREVENT program. . . .

Has society gone mad, are people expecting too much from other people. Are these Snowflakes that scream, cry and need to shake it out on a bean bag asking too much of society?

There is a woman who made news, that identifies as a cat... A CAT!!! ... she hisses and meows at people she likes and hates, dresses like a cat...

Do they belong in the mental hospital, or do we for going a long with this game?

Loneliness is something I hear about a lot on the internet. Some of you who are active on here probably feel lonely aswell. It's such a large issue, yet no one seems to talk about it.

In the Netherlands a couple twitter hashtags went viral related to loneliness. Large quantities of youth tweeted out the same hashtag, with a message explaining their situation and that they needed friends. These tweets got tons of replies, which is surprising seeing that Twitter's popularity in the Netherlands isn't all that big. So even with this limited audience, lonely people were everywhere.

Ofcourse that is in my own -small- country, with a youth of two million people. Of which most do not use twitter or know about the hashtags.

Loneliness is so incredibly common, yet nothing gets done about it. There is a huge stigma around saying that you're lonely. There are probably several reasons for this; it shows you're vulnerable, that you can't make friends, that your ability to get a partner is less, etc (even though none of those are true.) The rejection of loneliness most likely only makes matters worse.

I can't help but wonder, why do people feel so lonely here? Is this just an issue in the Netherlands or is it as wide spread as the internet makes it seem? Why are so little people speaking up? Are we able to taste our own tounge?

Sidenote: There is no solid pattern in internet usage, race, sexuality, gender, political background or any of that involved. So please, do not point fingers at other groups, unless your idea is well thought through.
