One day, I decided I had enough and left my toxic company to become a loner. In the beginning, it felt like torture. There was no one to eat lunch with or talk about the same mundane subjects. I found myself pulled into a pit of loneliness pondering if I’ve done the right thing? Exchanging bad friends for no friends at all. Sure, the conversations were bland and often left me feeling numb... but at least it was something. Now I didn’t have anything at all.

Life continued, and I slowly found myself becoming content with my company and enjoying being left alone. It was rather refreshing to be able to do things *I* wanted and have some “Me Time”. I may not have friends, but at least I’m not stuck with people who drain the energy out of me.

The loner’s life isn’t so bad. I’m happy to be by myself.

But.. what about you guys? What do you prefer? Becoming a loner or staying with bad company?

I am easily annoyed with people. Sometimes I rather be alone and do my own thing. I am very independent and stubborn so my mind is difficult to change. I like my current boyfriend but he frustrates me a lot to the point that I just give him attitudes and we need some space from each other. I honestly don't picture myself being with someone long-term or marrying. Makes me think I should just break up with him and remain single.

Being poor and broke is terrible but being poor and having no friends is the worse feeling in the world. Personally I'd rather be a rich person with no friends because I don't ever see myself having friends let alone being happy in the future. I'm going to be the next 40 year old virgin but hopefully I'll be dead before I turn 40.

What do you think of girls who are extreme loners and go to events alone and do other activities alone? I'm talking about the loners that are not shy at all and are actually very social. They're are the type of loners that makes friends easily but always choose not have close friends and rather just have acquaintances that she never have to stay in contact with. These types of girls are very comfortable exploring places and new things by themselves. So, would you still consider "social" loners a red flag? Why or why not? Ladies feel free to answer as well if your a loner yourself.
