I've been with my boyfriend for over 11 months and it's coming to the point where I can't take his behavior anymore.
Whenever we are with each other, it's decent. I feel happy. But we don't see each other often. Then there are times when we don't see each other where he doesn't give me much attention. He knows I need attention but sometimes he doesn't reciprocate with me. I feel like I do most of the work with the texting, genuinely wanting to talk, etc. I get it we both have lives outside of the relationship but I feel like it doesn't mean you have to completely shut out your partner on days you are busy. You should at least say something. But with him I always get the vibe of "oh the gym first", "oh work first", "oh friends first"... when it comes to being in a relationship, yes you make all of those things a priority but you also should give your girlfriend a chance to be high in the list as well and balance everything out.
And I feel like I do more for him than he does for me. For example, I'm naturally a loving and caring person. I love saying goodnight I love you but then last night he didn't respond to it.
Guessing he was busy... but still it hurts. And I want to do so much for his birthday and I'm trying so hard but for my birthday he just said happy birthday and didn't give me anything making me feel quite shitty...
So what should I do? I've discussed my issues with him beforehand but it seems like nothing seems to be fixed and he can't change. He tells me he loves me all the time though.

We have been together for over 2 years now
We have had previous relatinships before
he's had 3 ex girlfriends but never lasted more than 6 months
Im the first girl that he introduced to his whole family
So im his longest relationship

I've had 2 ex boyfriends
And only lasted few months as well
So my boyfriend is my longest relationship as well

Yesterday we were cuddling and he said:
"I love you, I will be so broken and hurt if you leave me again, I've been with you for a long time now, Im so attached to you, I can't picture myself without you"

Does this mean my boyfriend doesn't want to lose me only because we have been together for a while and not because he loves me?

Ever since reading about Charles Rothenberg, the man who burned his own child (while he was sleeping) I'm wondering if a former loving parent can suddenly snap and commit such heinous act... while being remorseful afterwards and claiming to still loving his/her child.

Obviously, this is a scumbag and hopefully he's spending the rest of his life in prison. Though, I read that when his son was born, he was a loving, devoted father in the first 2 years and then the divorce (while at the same time serving time for forgery) greatly impacted him.

Fast-forward to when his son was 6 years old:
He takes him from NY to CA without his ex wife's permission. Upon finding this out, the ex wife is furious and demands him to bring him back to NY and once he does, he'll never see their child again. Those words got to him and he couldn't get over them. Then he snapped and did that horrible crime. So basically if his ex wife haven't said those words, he wouldn't have snapped. He would be taking his son to Disneyland as promised.

The strange part I don't get is this so called ''father'' claims he wasn't upset with his son. He was getting back at his ex wife after what she told him and initially wanted to die with his child but he chickened out. What do you think? Can a loving parent that's not a psychopath snap into hurting his/her child they claimed to always loved?

Personally, I don't think so. I want to have a child one day and can't ever imagine hurting him/her in that manner.
