Just recently got discharged from the US Army (to hopefully get my full US citizenship and be with my girl here). I've got to see my girlfriend again after 4 years of active duty but I didn't really talk to her much or even told her any of my experiences during my military service because I'm too humiliated to even think about telling this to my girlfriend.

I don't know if this is any relevant to my question and trouble but me and my girlfriend come from a Latin American background (I'm a Native-Born Mexican and my girlfriend is a US-born Mexican), where gender roles are enforced and the men are looked down upon if they were r@ped or m0lested, since it's a sign of weakness for a man in Latino cultures and usually in a lot of Latin American countries, much less people seem to report their child s3xual abuse or r@pe due to this culture. I wouldn't doubt that here in the US, men who are r@ped or m0lested, are looked at as a laughing emasculated stock.

I might as well just leave a goodbye note to my girlfriend because of this traumatizing and humiliating experience I had. Even had suicidal thoughts over this.

I ask because I see a materialistic trend among American women, it's money this and money that. Along with gender roles men seem to be only piggy banks to women these days, and if they have an opinion or brain they are often ridiculed.
