At school, I am really into this girl. by the way I am 17 and a junior in a small high school and so is she. We have known of each others presense for about 4 months and the first time we talked was about 2 months ago. I have been into her for about a month and we have been acquaitances for about 2 weeks. I have her number from a project we worked on. We worked in a group of 4 and did most of the work. We killed the project but we don't talk about much outside school. In fact, we haven't texted about something non school related. I am waiting for her to talk to me about something outside school but it is not happening. About 2 months ago, her freinds told me she likes me and I should I ask her to prom. When I decided I was going to, she got asked out a day before I was going to and told me so. She obviously doesn't hate me because she says hi when passing through the halls and worked on this project with me. She is very nice and kind and dresses well like I do. She is very attractive: 9, and I ok too: 7,8. Socially, she is out of my league. I am what you call a drifter: A have a lot of acquaitances but no close freinds. She is popular and hangs with all the popular ones. I never asked any of her freinds on her opinion on me recently because honestly, I don't know how much I can trust them. School is ending soon and I want to do something with her for summer. If I mess up now, it might be an awkward senior year because we are kind of in similar freind circles and she might look at me different if she knows I want to be in a relationship. Or were we only talking because of the project? I want to keep things up and hopefull get in a relationship with her. A while a go my freinds told me to ask her but haven't asked me anything about her recently and a few days ago, I was talking to her and my freinds said "good luck" and started laughing. Luckily the convo never got awkward. I really need some help. I really am into her and want an answer. Any advice y'all?
