Reasons he says we could never date:
1. We just recently met and he lives like 10 hours away from me
2. He thinks we would move too quickly physically and both get hurt
3. He says he has a hard time feeling connected to people and doesn't want to end up hurting me
Because of this he requested that I friend zone him and asked me how he can act like a friend without leading me on (He's not doing a great job of acting like a friend)
Reasons I think he just wants to get to know me better first:
1. We just recently met and already hit it off super well
2. He is really flirty
3. He is always always texting me (mentioned he texts me more than anyone else)
4. He asks me not to use my phone when I'm around him
5. He tells me I'm beautiful and very obviously checks me out
6. He tells me I'm an incredibly valuable person
7. He told me he likes me
8. He kept holding my hand and playing with my fingers and looking deep into my eyes whenever he'd had a couple drinks
9. We always have really deep and personal conversations
10. Before I left he said we should just be friends 'for now'
11. We talk about how we're both not ready for relationships
12. He said he wants to become really good friends because he feels like I need him
13. He admitted to me that he has no other girls that he's friends with
14. He always says goodnight to me, always texts me in the morning and sometimes tells me to text him something while he's asleep so he can read it when he wakes up
15. He tells me when he's going to be busy for a while or will tell me why he couldn't answer me even though I don't ask

I just came back from a date (it went well!) And I got the opportunity to flabbergast my date because I asked if we could split the bill, we went to a steakhouse.

For me, first dates means getting to know each other. I'm there to get to know the person, act cute and make cheesy awkward ass jokes, etc. As a girl who knows what she likes to eat, I always end up getting the more... pricer things. I'm not a greedy person, I just don't hide the fact that I love prime rib, or seafood or if I'm in the mood for ribs, I like to get a full rack cause I love leftovers ( my love for good ribs is one that can't be silenced) so I ALWAYS make sure I bring enough. Even movie dates, I love it if one buys the tickets the other buyssnacks. I just hate trying to enjoy myself and always worry about what to get or worry about who's paying, I just wanna split it and enjoy the others company.
