I have been working in the same store as this guy for almost nine months now. We've gotten really close. We don't even work in the same department, but I helped train him on the register and then he went to work in the back of the store on a register back their while I work in the front. But because I was like the only person he knew, he started talking to me. And I would talk to him. We would kinda just find each other for breaks every now and then at first, but now it's progressed to the point where I go back and hang out with him during my breaks every single day. And then on his he'll either take his with me, or if we can't he'll kinda walk back and forth around the registers and tell me to "stop slacking" as he passes by. Sometimes he stops and offers to get me a refill on my drink.

Whenever I go to leave from my break or whatever, he insists on giving me a hug, and even the other day I didn't work and he went up front to look for me. That said, he's engaged to another girl. She doesn't work with us though. Only a couple weeks ago he said that he might be ending it with her because he caught her cheating. I was the first and only person he told this too. We tell each other everything. Only lately he's also been asking for my opinion on things, but those specific things are scenarios like "If you and I were dating..." stuff. And I don't know if that means anything or not. The first time I kinda tossed it out the window, but now he asks almost several questions like that a day.

And he's always trying to help me out. He constantly tries to feed me, and he'll help me reach things. Once I was cold and I was like "IT'S SO COLD!" and he offered me his sweater. The other day I was upset but REALLY sick, and he gave me a hug anyway and said it didn't matter if he got sick if it made me feel better. He even gave me a ride home from work once when I didn't have one.

I feel like all the signs are pointing to yes that he does like me, but he's ENGAGED?

a year ago, I started a new job, where I saw the actual most beautiful man I have ever seen. I mean, all of the celebrities and models I had ever been attracted to paled in comparison.
I eventually learned his name, so I started saying hi to him and probably staring a bit more than I should have, because he's so stunning.
He would always stare back, and eventually it was just a weird staring contest thing. Sometimes I would smile at him and he would occasionally smile back, but normally it was just a blank expression.
A few times he tried to talk to me and it was okay, kind of awkward because I was nervous but I found out that he was really nice too, which made me have a full blown crush on him rather than just being attracted to his appearance.
But I found out he has a girlfriend that he's been with for 6 months so I BACKED OFF. Stopped staring, stopped seeking him out for conversation, stopped showing signs of interest.

But since I backed off, he's been staring at me even more and I'm never staring at him first. I happen to look up from my desk and he's staring, he walks by me and glances and then tries to pretend he didn't.. AND one time he came up to me and STARED INTO MY EYES for 5 seconds without saying anything, just like.. intensely gazing into my eyes.

I don't get it - what's his deal?
