Long distance girlfriend suddenly too busy to text me?

My long term girlfriend is visiting me soon and everything seemed to be going good. We've been dating for a year and things are good. On new years she called me, all was fine, she was with her friends etc etc. The next day she wakes up, and like a snap of a finger, our communication is cut significantly. She would take forever to respond to my texts, answer my questions, and not really expand our conversations (very unlike her) So i think maybe she's having a rough day, out of it, not feeling well? When I confronted her asking if she's okay she said she was really sorry, she was "busy with family", this is understandable, but normally when she is with her family she still finds time to text me. She said she was trying to spend more time with them away from her phone... It's like something bad happened or something. I know she's coming to visit me soon, but what gives? She's being a bit sketchy (not really invested in our texting convos) and not acting like herself. Maybe a sign of cheating?

I'm in a LDR with my boyfriend. the important things are trust and communication. both people need to be clear about what's up for it to work out well. sometimes life gets in the way and I can't talk with my boyfriend a lot. sometimes he is busy. but we always let each other know what's going on and talk through things. it's been the holidays so it's entirely possible she's been wrapped up in family stuff. give her time. if you can't trust each other and communicate clearly about what you want and what's going on, a LDR won't go well

I'd give it some time, sometimes days are rough so let her have some time to herself and if it continues for more than a fee days than I'd talk to her about it again

It is a sign that you are clingy and need to back off or she is going to leave you.

I don't think I really am, I try not to be, she's says clingy (lovey) things to me, so I just go with it. We have great communication, but I just think it's too much for someone to cut communication when we are long distance.

So, in a period of less than 36 hours, you've gone from "everything is okay" to "she is cheating on me." This is the problem with LDR's. You don't have that frequent physical contact and all of the confidence and trust that gets built with that contact. If she is cheating on you, she will soon tell you sayonara. If she is not cheating and you are acting like a puppy that doesn't want to be weaned, you may convince her that this LDR isn't worth it, so. . . lighten up, Francis!
